Senior Drilling Program Manager

Reporting to: General Manager, Baseload Power Taiwan

Location: Taiwan Project Locations or some work could be remote from country of origin but some time on site in Taiwan will be required

Purpose of Position :

To work collaboratively with geoscientists, and link with engineers and business development staff, and manage onsite operations safely and efficiently delivering well objectives, in full compliance with relevant standards and operator policies. Support and contribute to technical work on new and prospective geothermal power projects of interest to Baseload Power Taiwan

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Drilling strategy and trade off tables for drilling targets
  • Manage drilling program as project manager covering all activities, costs, time plan and resources both internally and internally
  • Plan and make drilling program.
  • Manage onsite drilling and work-over projects
  • Review collected data, evaluate mud reports, bit records, and drilling operations to prepare daily drilling reports
  • Evaluate contractor safety and performance
  • Schedule people and equipment for uninterrupted drilling. Constructing and creating drilling procedures
  •  Prepare cost estimates and final reports
  • Cooperate with team to prepare tender and bids for drilling preparation. 

Person Specification:

  • A postgraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering, or comparable commercial experience in the geothermal industry
  • 10+ years working experience in geothermal industry with good track records
  • Commercial focus, with practical experience and interest solving technically challenging concepts and problems
  • Individual initiative and ability to contribute effectively to the team, combined with personal integrity and professional ethics
  • Excellent communication skills in English with proven record of quality writing and reporting
